ASSOCIATED PRIVILEGES

Policy For Guests:

Persons residing within Vance or Granville counties may enjoy the amenities of the Henderson Country Club as a guest of a member six (6) times in a calendar year, or bi-monthly.


Family Membership - Resident Membership (By-Laws / Article 1 / Section 1)

 

Requirements: Head of household must be owner of at least one share of Class “A” capital stock and one of Class “B” no par non-voting stock and shall pay an initiation fee if required by the Board of Directors (provided, however, that no initiation fee shall be charged to a minister who obtains his stock from a former minister of his church who has maintained an active membership in the club within 24 months of the minister’s application). The head of a family residing within Vance or Granville counties (excluding those persons having their primary residence and zip codes related to Creedmoor zip code #27522, Butner zip code #27509,Youngsville zip code 27596, and Wake Forest zip code 27522), when approved by three-fourths of the Board of Directors, shall be entitled to a family membership.”


Privileges: This membership shall entitle the holder, his wife or her husband, and all children (or other dependent members of his or her family as defined by the Internal Revenue Service regulations) until 24 years of age or while students in a school, or university, or serving in the armed services, to all privileges of the club, except children and other dependent members of the family shall be termed Associate Members.


There are no green fees for golf, or fees for tennis for the users of this membership. There are, however, usage fees for cart rentals, range, club storage etc. as designated by the Board of Directors.

Persons obtaining membership in the HCC shall have alternate methods of paying the club for his or her initiation fee and stock purchases, with the ownership of said stocks becoming vested in the membership only upon completion of all said payments.

Non-resident Membership: (By-Laws / Article 1 / Section 3)

Requirements: Available only to persons living outside and not maintaining any residence within Vance or Granville Counties and for those persons having their primary residence and zip codes related to Creedmoor zip code #27522, Butner zip code #27509, Youngsville zip code #27596, and Wake Forest zip code #27522. This membership may require payment of an initiation fee and is subject to approval by three-fourths of the Board of Directors.”

Privileges: This membership carries the same privileges as a Family Membership - Resident Membership

Senior House Membership: (By-Laws / Article 1 / Section 5)

Requirements: An optional membership open only to a couple when at least one spouse is 70 years of age and has maintained membership in the HCC in good standing for a period of five consecutive years or more immediately preceding the application to convert to Senior House Membership. The capital dues will remain payable. The member will continue to own one share of “A” stock and one share of “B” stock.

Privileges: Privileges are limited to house activities and swimming pool only (upstairs and downstairs) however; visiting immediate family from out of town may use all club facilities at the applicable fees. In the event of either spouse’s death this membership will remain in effect even if the surviving spouse is under age 70. This optional membership must be requested by the member to the Board in writing 30 days prior to becoming effective.

Young Professional Membership: (By-Laws / Article 1 / Section 6)

Requirements: There shall be one class of Young Professional Membership, and there shall be no geographic boundaries regarding this membership classification. Fees for persons applying for Junior Membership shall be set by the Board of Directors for this class. This class shall apply to all persons who desire Junior Membership and who are thirty-six years of age or under.

Privileges: This class of membership shall have full membership privileges related to the use of facilities, but this class of membership shall have no voting stock and equity stock in the Henderson Country Club. At age thirty-seven all Young Professional members will be required to purchase stock and move to full resident membership or the appropriate membership classification.

Corporate Membership: (By-Laws / Article 1 / Section 7)

Requirements: A corporation shall be allowed to join the Henderson Country Club, provided that entity has at least five W-2 employees. The definition of “corporate” means any business structure, including, but not limited to a schedule “C” business, an LLC, a corporation, a partnership, or other full-time venture. Each corporate membership would allow a corporation to designate up to three employees of the corporation to use the Henderson Country Club, and each designated user must be approved by the Board of Directors of the Henderson Country Club before the employee can become a designated club member, just as any other regular member. Upon any termination from employment, the designated employee is no longer entitled to membership privileges or usage of the Henderson Country Club unless that person applies for membership on his or her own, in any class in which he or she qualifies, if he is in good standing with the Club. All dues for corporate members shall be determined by the Board of Directors. No voting or equity stock in the Henderson Country Club shall be held by a corporate member.


Resident Corporation: If the business originated and continues to be headquartered in Vance County it is deemed to be a Resident Corporation. Only one of the three users living inside Vance County is eligible to be a designated user under a Resident Corporation membership. All other users must live outside Vance County.


Non-Resident Corporation: A business that is not licensed or headquartered in Vance County but may have a location or office in Vance County that is affiliated with the corporation including but not limited to franchises, retail stores, banks, realtors, hospitals, auto dealerships, insurance companies, or other businesses that operate in multiple locations is deemed a Non-Resident Corporation. An employee of a Non-Resident Corporation residing inside, or outside Vance County is eligible to be a designated use

Privileges: Each user under a corporate membership enjoys all the same privileges afforded to a “Family Membership”. (see p.1)

Resident Single Membership: (By-laws / Article 1 / Section 7)

Requirement(s): Unmarried persons over the age of 21, residing within Vance and Granville counties – same stock ownership, initiation fee and passing by the Board of Directors requirements as for Family Membership.

Privileges: This membership shall entitle the holder to all the privileges of the club for himself or herself only, except that he or she has the privilege of having a domestic partner accompany him or her in any club activity.

Upon marriage this membership automatically becomes a Family Membership.

Social Membership: (By-Laws / Article 1 / Section 8)

Requirement(s): A person who seeks membership in the Henderson Country Club as a social member shall not be required to buy and shall not hold either Class A or Class B stock.

Social members may be required by the Board of Directors to contract to a specific term of usage, and said contract shall be binding upon said member as the same relates to the collection of fees and dues as determined by the Board of Directors to be applicable to such membership


Privileges: A Social Membership allows a family, single gentleman, or single lady full use of the clubhouse, fitness room, and tennis and pool facilities under the same terms and conditions as a Family Membership regarding the dining, grill and beverage facilities, fitness room, and tennis and pool facilities.

This membership limits privileges associated with golf in that golf is available only as a guest of another member and no more than six (6) times annually.

Golf Membership: (By-Laws / Article 1 / Section 9)

There shall be two classes of golf membership, those being as follows: (1) Individual Golf Membership, (2) Family Golf Membership.

Requirements: A person who seeks membership at the Henderson Country Club as a golfing member shall not be required to buy and shall not hold either Class A or Class B stock.

Said members may be required by the Board of Directors to contract for a specific term of usage, and said contracts shall be binding upon said golfing member as the same relates to the collection of fees and dues as determined by the Board of Directors to be applicable to such membership.”

Privileges: Individual and Family Golf Memberships shall include usage of the golf course at the Henderson Country Club, the grill room, and the downstairs bar area.

Pool Membership: (By-Laws / Article 1 / Section 10)

Requirements: This is a seasonal membership available to persons living inside or outside Vance County for a period beginning Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day of each year.

Privileges: Entitles the holder, his wife or her husband, and all children (or other dependent members of his or her family as defined by the Internal Revenue Service regulations) until 21 years of age or while still students in a school, college or university or while serving in the armed forces seasonal use of the pool and grill room.

Tennis Membership: (By-Laws / Article 1 / Section 11)

Requirements: It requires a membership application and approval by a majority of the Board of Directors, but does not require payment of an initiation fee or the ownership of class “A” or “B” stock.

Privileges: A tennis membership shall entitle the holder, his wife or her husband, and all children (or other dependent members of his or her family as defined by the Internal Revenue Service regulations) until 21 years of age or while still students in a school or serving in the armed forces, use of the tennis courts and grill.
